Slept from eleven to six-thirty without waking.
High of thirty-four. Chance of snow.
We got a dusting of snow overnight.
Sounds like Jeff Sessions is next on the chopping block. I don't think anyone wagered on him.
Huh. Dmoz is shutting down. I had no idea it was still around.
Work:
- What does `lxc-net` actually do, beside create iptables rules I _do not want_?
See `/etc/default/lxc` and `/etc/default/lxc`.
If either file sets `USE_LXC_BRIDGE="true"`
I'm assuming that systemd actually triggers `lxc-net`, and that setting `USE_LXC_BRIDGE` simply tells lxc to assume that such a bridge exists rather than to do anything about it itself.
Am I being dumb about this?
Maybe I shouldn't mess with the FORWARD chain at all, and just firewall in the container and/or the *nat table?
My opinion on this matter is evolving....
Moved a couple of T1 sites over to new cable modems.
Half hour walk at lunch.
Cold, but not terrible.
Saw some robins.
Home:
- Golang something? Or notes on "not sendmail" project.
Done.
OK, one thing done: I code-named the project "faux bat".
With code name selection complete, I initialized a Git repo, and started making notes.
Read another chapter of Three Musketeers.
Watched the season two finale of the Great British Baking Show.
