The woman and child who live downstairs on the street side are in some kind of domestic dispute with someone they know (unclear to me who). A few days ago, that person tried to enter their apartment thinking they weren't home. Later, they found one or more wireless cameras in their air vents. 😬 They called the police. (I heard the police ring everyone's buzzer and announce themselves on Monday(?) but I was in a work call and didn't hear anything else.) Last night, I gave the kid (who seems to speak better English than his grandmother(?) my phone number and told him I'm home most days). The neighbors next to me helped them call maintenance about getting their locks changed. The kid called today, said his grandmother had to go out of town, and asked me to keep an ear open. Scary stuff, but it's nice to see neighbors helping each other.
