Rode the exercise bike for ten minutes. Self reflection. I haven't been doing much of it in a long, at least in terms of personal growth. Understandable, to some extend. During the years of the pandemic, I was in wait-and-survive mode. And I got a new, challenging job that soaked up a lot of my growth-related energy. I haven't had much interest in doing much personal fun hobby stuff in a long time. Maybe I'm depressed, although I don't feel particularly sad. Where I've had any interest at all, it was in daydreaming of vaguely about buying a boat or a house, though without any strong desire. Part of that was having a remote job and hearing about co-workers like Jesse who drive around in an RV working from anywhere. I have some means and few ties. What's stopping me from trying whatever eccentric lifestyle strikes my fancy, except my own inhibitions and lack of imagination? What might I want to do (particularly stuff that doesn't entirely involve sitting at my desk)? Buy a sailboat. Buy a house. Build a solar-powered boat. Build a (trailorable?) tiny house. Participate in an archaeological and/or paleantological dig, even as a vacation I pay for. Play with remote sensing or embedded electronics stuff, as simple as home automation style things or as complex as autonomous boats Garden (winter crops? greenhouse?). Barriers: Dislike/avoidance of discomfort and inconvenience. Physical condition/weight. Financial fear. Lack of energy/motivation. (Undiagnoted) ADHD(?). Social anxiety. Health fears. Empty distractions (watching videos for hours every night). Delay thinking (I'll do it after I retire). Servings: grains 2/6, fruit 2/4, vegetables 1/4, dairy 1/2, meat 2/3, nuts 0/0.5 Breakfast: banana, carrots, bagel, cream cheese Brunch: orange Lunch: left-over Chinese Afternoon snack: Dinner:
