Maybe they're more balanced a louder volumes, but they're clearly sized to be desktop speakers! At low or moderate listening on the desktop, they're a sloppy mess with the slow, bloated bass and mid-bass browning out everything else. Also, especially since I'm doing more background/casual listening than audiophile mode listening, I've come to value Bluetooth for audio. So, based on their reputation as being reasonably OK accurate monitors designed for desktop, I ordered the JBL 104 BT monitors. They sound great. Definitely much slimmer and tighter than the A2's, but their extension is actually respectable for their size. And they much, much faster and more accurate the the A2's. My only complaint is that there's a slight audible hiss/noise floor when nothing's playing. Overall, I'm very satisfied, especially for the price.
