Slept from ten-thirty to four, then very fitfully until seven.
Finally woke from a nightmare.
Cooler.
Cloudy with a chance of showers.
A slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Highs in the upper 70s.
Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
Chance of rain 50 percent.
Texted birthday wishes to Kate.
Watched several episodes of Doom Patrol.
Great.
In kind of a funk all day.
Finished reading Blackout.
OK, but it doesn't have an ending of any kind.
The story just stops at a random point to continue in the "next" book.
Also, it really needs an editor to trim countless sections of characters wandering around.
Character X took the bus, then the train, then walked for a while, and didn't find what she wanted, and took another train, etc.
Cutting half the text would improve the book.
Nevertheless, I checked out the "sequel", All Clear, from the library.
The two books together may yet amount to a good novella.
