Work ---------------------------------------- When I go to the office this morning, I found that the air conditioning was dead, so I went home. CTO standup call, Cynerge all-hands call. Home ---------------------------------------- Vacuumed. My network connection started dropping packets again this afternoon. Power cycling the modem didn't fix it. Thu Jun 16 15:38:46 EDT 2022 Called Comcast. Packet loss on cable modem. Blaire. Ran test on modem. Modem in gray status. Will dispatch a technician. 1 to 3 PM tomorrow. Case number 830328. Packet loss started around 2:30, then went away around four. Like, 20-60% packet loss one hour, then zero loss the next. The resolution didn't appear to have anything to do with the multiple restarts of the modem. And, an hour later, Comcast called with an automated message saying they'd found and fixed a problem in my neighborhood. I canceled the appointment. Let's see if the packet loss happens again tomorrow afternoon.
