Sun Jul 4 06:00:01 EDT 2021 ======================================== Slept from eleven-thirty to seven-thirty without waking. Mostly sunny until late afternoon then becoming partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 80s. Northwest winds up to 10 mph. Hour-long walk in the morning, through Beverly Park, before it got too hot. Heard a crow, a mourning dove, and a woodpecker. Saw five rabbits, a little white butterfly, a monarch butterfly, a mother duck with a half-dozen ducklings swimming in the pond, a chipmunk, and a deer with two fawns. Also saw a couple interesting mushrooms in the woods, both growing on the ground near the side of the trail — one yellowish clumps of bristly spines pointing up in the air, the other a cluster of white flat leaf-like shelves. Heard cicadas. Watched the first season of Counterpart, which turns out to be a pretty good scifi espionage show. Servings: grains 6/6, fruit 1/4, vegetables 2/4, dairy 3/2, meat 2/3, nuts 0/0.5 Brunch: potato chips, two hot dogs, pineapple Afternoon snack: green tea, ramen with vegetables Dinner: grilled cheese
