Highs in the upper 40s. East winds up to 10 mph. Read more of A Closed and Common Orbit. The first book in the series, The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet, was fun scifi adventure. This second book is somewhat more sophisticated and affecting. Jane's story makes me cry. Started watching Victorian Farm. They talk about how the new canal system revolutionized the country because farms could specialize to they type of agriculture that most suited the land and people — grain, livestock, diary, etc. Being able to quickly move products around the country multiplied everyone's productivity. Reminds me of the benefits of open standards, data formats, and API's.
