========================================
Slept from ten to six.
Mostly cloudy.
Patchy fog.
Near steady temperature in the upper 30s.
Southeast winds up to 5 mph.
Work
----------------------------------------
- Order new desktops for Entrata test properties
Done.
- Fix YES memo
Done.
- Figure out how to set system-wide default for Pulseaudio output profile
Done.
https://askubuntu.com/questions/69820/how-do-i-set-a-pulseaudio-card-profile-persistently-across-reboots
Edit `/etc/pulse/default.pa` and append:
```
[…]
set-card-profile 0 output:hdmi-stereo
```
It looks like, for interfaces with multiple outputs, we have to choose the correct Pulseaudio "profile" for the desired output.
Twenty-minute walk at lunch.
Mostly cloudy, slightly cool, pleasant.
Saw a red-winged blackbird, a pair of crows, a quartet of Canada geese.
Home
----------------------------------------
- Order water filters
Done.
- Take time to relax or meditate (without watching TV all night)
A bit.

> … in his diary O’Brian described Kerr’s questions as “verging on the 3rd degree”. The film crew, he added, were “good fellows in their way” but “heavy and unread” …
> … O’Brian being the name Patrick adopted by deed poll in 1945 when, aged thirty, he made what Tolstoy described in Volume One as a “conscious” decision to “obliterate his previous existence” and reinvent himself as an Irish toff. He had a fondness for Ireland, which he visited first as an adult, but not a drop of Irish blood, and his new name, explained Tolstoy, was picked “at random” from “a copy of a nineteenth-century marine-insurance certificate”.
