Refresher:
- SPF validates the envelope sender domain. Message recipients can check SPF records published by the sender's DNS server against the IP address of the sending SMTP server.
- DKIM cryptographically signs the message body. Recipients can grab the public key from DNS to validate the signature. If effect, this usually guarantees the message originated in the domain of the From header. Some caveats apply.
- DMARC extends SPF and DKIM. It can set policies that messages from a domain be protected by SPF and/or DKIM, and recommend actions for messages that don't meet the policies.
