Do I even care about house rules?
That is, do my house rules diverge enough from LotFP to justify not using LotFP?
What differences to I feel even moderately strongly about?
- XP is purely treasure-based, and not awarded for killing monsters
- Death or Dismemberment rules
- Weapon damage: improvised weapons do d3, most weapons do d6, fighters do d8 single-handed or d10 two-handed.
- Armor-based encumbrance
- Evasion and pursuit
- On a natural "1" attack roll, a weapon breaks; a natural "20" triple damage or a special move (player's choice)
- Clerics learn acquire spells like magic-users (but new clerics start with Cure Light Wounds, Turn Undead, and one randoms spell)
Thant's not too much.
Lunch: coffee, salad
