Fri Jun 16 07:08:45 EDT 2017 Slept from eleven to six-thirty without waking. High of eighty-nine. Chance of thunderstorms. Work: - Brief Julie on HZ PCI-DSS and ATM issues Done. - Ask Rachel to catalog HZ assets, starting with workstations Done. - Move RP from T1 to cable modem Done. - Schedule moves of tiger backups to storage Done. Shoot, from the time I woke up until about ten AM, I thought it was Thursday. It seemed like a really long week. Scott bricked the router at RP, and had to drive out there. I'm on my own for the afternoon. Short lunch. Ten-minute walk. Nice out. A little hot, but nice. Hmmm. https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/325181-vmware-esxi-raid-from-the-hypervisor?page=1#entry-2130067 > You can do what I did on my HP Microserver - install Openfiler as a VM and set it to start before any other VMs (set them to delay for 120 secs to allow it to start up so the storage will be avail for them). I also added the original 250GB hard disk that came with my microserver into the DVD bay and store all my VMs on there (just use an external usb DVD drive when you need it). I then have 4 x 2TB of disks avail for openfiler. Works like a treat! > Also known as a VSA :) http://www.flackbox.com/list-vsa-virtual-storage-appliances-storage-simulators-san-nas-demos/ Home: - Go stuff! No. - Grocery? Done. Took out the trash, vacuumed, watered plants, tidied. Watched a couple of episodes of The Wire. Made tentative plans to hang out with Ed tomorrow. It's been a long week. Breakfast: carrots, peanut butter toast, coffee Lunch: Thai noodles Dinner: frozen pizza
