Slept from around eleven to seven. Woke twice in the night.
Rain. High of sixty-nine. In fact, highs in the upper sixties predicted all this week.
Goals:
Work:
- Catch up on email
Barely.
- Review tickets
Not much.
Today was a bit of a hellish return to work. A Comcast outage left our big pipe down, and my workstation picked this morning to die. I ordered myself a new machine, but I'll be working on the crusty Thinkpad for a few days. I don't understand how Gnome 3 is so popular; it's a usability nightmare.
Got in a fifteen minute walk at lunch. The rain stopped around noon, and it was actually very pleasant out.
Home:
- Grocery
Done.
- Watch debates
Done.
They're both so damn unlikable and untrustworthy.
Trump is far more charismatic than Clinton.
Clinton comes off like Mom from Futurama.
Trump can really forcefully talk empty nonsense.
It got very petty very quickly.
Overall, the caliber and concentration of ideas from both candidates was low.
Oh, for fuck's sake. "Cyber" attack. And nobody held Clinton's feet to the fire for her atrocious information security practices. And neither of them said anything about "cyber" except that "we need to do more"; they don't have even a superficial understanding of the issue.
What a waste of time.
Hmm. https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6761
The RFC lays out how the reserved TLD's `.test`, `.localhost`, and `.invalid` should be treated.
Breakfast: carrots, yogurt, coffee with half-and-half
Lunch: nuts
Dinner: toquitos
