Wed Sep 21 07:29:01 EDT 2016 Slept from around one to seven. Tired. Mostly sunny, with a high of eighty-two. Dad's viewing is this morning. Was up late last night putting together the playlist for the viewing. 1. Art Blakey Quntet - Blues 2. Dave Alvin - 1968 3. St. Paul and the Broken Bones - All I Ever Wonder 4. Muddy Waters - Walkin Thru the Park 5. Dinah Washington - I Know 6. John Lee Hooker - One Bourbon, One Scotch, One beer 7. Dave Alvin - Evening Blues 8. Ella Fitzgerald - Ella Hums the Blues 9. Muddy Waters - Train Fare Home 10. Milt Jackson - Baggin' the Blues 11. Dinah Washington - Relax Max 12. St. Paul and the Broken Bones - Burning Rome 13. Django Reinhart - Beyond the Sea 14. Muddy Waters - You Can't Lose What You Ain't Never Had 15. Howlin' Wolf - Goin' Down Slow I got back from the viewing around three. All the hugging and handshaking exhausted me. Tim and Alison and Alissa and Robert and J.R. and Larry and Karen. John Fischer and his wife. Cheryl and Randy Bosak. The audiophile neighbor. A couple of Kate's friends. Others. Mom showed up. She talked to Yvonne for a while, and spent a long time by the casket. Kate and Yvonne did a great job with the photo boards. Took a good, long nap in the evening, which I badly needed. Breakfast: mixed greens, carrots, coffee, mac-and-cheese Lunch: Philly cheese steak Dinner: chicken pot pie
