Summer is waning. The days are shorter. I woke up before sunrise.

What's the bush that's started dropping little black berries everywhere? It has obtuse or elliptic leaves. Pokeweed? Dogwood?
Mom called me to let me know that aunt Diane's father passed away. I emailed my sympathies.
Yvonne called. We're going to delay dinner until Memorial Day. Also, the doctor from U of M got back to her. There's nothing they can do for dad.
Paid my first water bill. Damn landlord.
