Went to bed around two in the morning, woke up briefly around seven, then went back to bed until 12:30. I can't remember the last time I stayed up so late or slept so long. I wasn't even doing anything particularly interesting last night --- just screwing around with Unbound while half-watching episodes of NCIS. Oh, well.
High of eighty-five today. Thunderstorms likely after three o'clock.
Ed's coming over around seven tonight to play D&D.
Goals:
- Two loads of laundry
No.
- Clean kitchen and bathroom, misc. cleaning
Done.
Dusted, vacuumed, watered plants, wiped down the bathroom and kitchen counters, quick mop of floors
Still playing with Unbound. It loads the blacklist-ads.conf file fine, but chokes on the larger blacklist-malicious.conf.
% cat blacklist-ads.conf blacklist-malicious.conf | sort | uniq > blacklist.conf
It still won't start with blacklist.conf, so it's not the presense of duplicate lines in the ads and malicious files causing the problem.
% split -d -a 2 -l 50000 blacklist.conf blacklist.
% for f in blacklist.0? ; do mv "$f" "$f.conf" ; done
That game us three `blacklist.0?.conf` files. Unbound would not start with all three, but would start if I removed blacklist.02.conf.
It would be helpful if `unbound-checkconf` would be more prescise in it's error messages, like even specifying a line number rather than just the file name with the error.
Ed came over. We played D&D.
Breakfast: left-over pizza
Lunch: chicken pot pie
Dinner: chips
