Went to bed a little early last night. Slept OK for about seven hours, although I remember half waking up several times from being too hot under the covers.
Rainy and around sixty this morning. It's supposed to clear up this afternoon/evening, but drop to forty degrees.
Goals:
Work:
- Call Mike at HZ about FreeBSD meet
Done.
Talked to Mike. He's cool with user group meeting.
- He'll pick out a space for us, either in Sulkies or on the fourth floor.
- Finish revising git notes
Done.

That covers the stuff I use most.
- Review invoices
Done.
- Update firewall
Done. See below.
A couple of remote sites are down this morning. Fooling with that.
Really enjoying the HP50. Can't believe I didn't like these right away. Still debating if I should pick up an amp more friendly to sensitive headphones.
Took a twenty-five minute walk at lunch. Not bad out now that it's stopped rainy. Windy, but not bad. Probably should have remembered to bring a jacket today, though.
Hmm. The Pitney Bowes guy hasn't shown up. He was supposed to be here at noon or one.
Updating the firewall turned out to be an adventure. It turned out to be an adventure. The (unused but) misconfigured traffic shaping rules prevented all the pf rules from loading. It took me a long time to realize this, because squid was massively and repeatedly crapping itself, and spamming the logs while doing so. Didn't get out of work until after six thirty.
Home:
- Wash dishes
Nope.
- Reply to Semibug mailing list
Done.
- Figure out a better solution than redshift, something that considers weather. Or just an easy way to manually change screen brightness and color temperature.
xrandr --output DVI-0 --brightness 0.8 --gamma 1.0:0.77:0.63
https://github.com/jonls/redshift
Meh.
