Went to bed around 12:30. Slept OK, but only until 5:30. I could use a couple more hours.
Car is still awesome.
High of sixty-six and breezy today. Chance of showers after noon.
Goals:
Work:
- Manager meeting
Done.
- Ask Jason if he moved file serving to archie, and, if so, whether he updated the backup plan
Done. Emailed him. He called me back. He did move the files over. He did change the backup job.
- Check on-hold tickets. Can be closed now?
Done.
- Review invoices.
Nope.
- Order laptop for Dave T
Done.
- Check out document generation for IRS filing (pdf, xps, postscript, svg, etc.)
SVG is pretty neat. Maybe not the right choice for this project, but interesting enough that I want to learn more.
Hmm. Actually, svg might be a reasonable choice for this. It does support using points as a unit.
Does anything support svg 1.2? Nothing I can find. So, svg is not a good choice for this application.
Walked at lunch. Stopped at Starbucks for a pick-me-up. Definitely not enough sleep last night. Took a short, unsatisfying nap in my office chair after walking.
Python may be the way to go for xml parsing.

Home:
- Work on some C stuff
No, but finally got around to making notes on sed:

- Go to bed early
Done. Light out around 9:30.
Note to self about D&D next/last session: the adversary of their patron will likely take the robbery of his payroll poorly. (Baboon) agents will be dispatched to search the city, and perhaps a general reward offered to the thieves of the city. Were the PC's seen by the occupants of the barbican (I don't remember for sure)? If the heat gets bad enough, the party may want to flee the city (and maybe this would be a good transition to Ed as DM).
