Fri Oct 9 08:07:16 EDT 2015 Went to bed around 10:30 last night, slept well, and woke up around 7:30. Cloudy with a high of sixty-three. Goals: Work: - Test Unifi control software on ThinkPad Done. It runs fine of Debian. Need to explore the config more. - Finish SquidGuard white/black list Done. - Check into mail list problem Done. Fixed. Half hour walk at lunch. Cloudy; looks like it might rain. Saw a couple of robins and a ton of starlings. Trees are much as they were yesterday. Home: - Scope out cars online before I go shopping tomorrow Done. +--------------------------------------------------------------- So, I'm driving home after work, planning to buy a new car tomorrow, and my old/current car dies three miles from home. Come on, you only had to keep going for ten more minutes! Sigh. Mom and Renny came out. Renny believes it's the serpentine belt, which he thinks he can replace on site. Tomorrow. (I had already walked two miles before Mom and Renny caught up with me. Got my second walk in for the day!) Left the car at the church parking lot near 12 and Lahser. I'm not too upset by all this (but I may be annoyed if for some reason I can't get a new car tomorrow.) +--------------------------------------------------------------- ## Car stuff ## Initial impressions from research below: - Makes to look at: Chevrolet, Scion, Toyota; maybe Honda, Buick, and Kia also Strongly leaning to the Scion iA.
