I didn't screw up my sleep schedule as badly as I feared. Went to bed at midnight, and woke up at nine. I woke up for a few minutes around four in the morning, but otherwise slept pretty well.
My mood is much better this morning.
Partly sunny with a high of seventy-five.
Goals:
- Do fine tuning for FreeBSD firewall rules
Done.
- Get HAProxy working to redirect to the nginx in jail
Yeah, it works. HAProxy is only forwarding to a single jail at the moment, but it works.
Tomorrow I need to figure out if adding records to /etc/hosts will be sufficient for testing, and then add acl's to hparoxy.conf.

- Change sheets and towels
Done.
- Walk
Done. Walked 6:25--7:00 PM.
Lots of kids out playing, which is nice to see. Game of hide-and-seek going, I think.
A few trees have started to drop their leaves, although I don't see many trees turning colors yet. I had noticed a lot of the maples have black shiny spots on their leaves of about 1 cm diameter. I wonder if the early leaf loss is related.
Yes.

"...a fungal disease known as tar spot. The disease is caused by several fungi in the genus Rhytisma and infects silver, sugar, red and Norway maple as well as their relative, box elder. This disease is usually a cosmetic problem and does not affect the long-term health of the tree. Heavy infections can cause premature leaf drop – a circumstance that causes great consternation to homeowners because lawns are littered and must be raked before autumn typically arrives."
Watched Enemy at the Gates on Netflix this morning. Nice to see Bob Hoskins. I think I've watched this before at some point.
Questions:
- Can I set a title for a tmux window?
Yes, the comma: prefix-,foo
