Fri Aug 7 09:22:41 EDT 2015 Woke up reasonably rested again well before my alarm went off. Sunny with a high near eighty today. Bought M John Harrison's Viriconium on a recommendation from Zak S. I haven't been reading enough lately. Today's Firefox bug (https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2015/08/06/firefox-exploit-found-in-the-wild/) makes me wonder if it would be a good idea to run browsers chroot'd. Probably not worthwhile as a security measure.... On my walk, I saw a dragonfly and a woodpecker, possibly a moth-eaten Pileated or a red-bellied. I didn't get a great look. Goals: Work: - Work on vlans Done. Created a bunch of vlan stuff on pfSense. Screwed around a bit with modern Windows EFI booting and BCD. Going through the same EFI/software RAID mirror/storage pool rigmarole I went through with a similar setup for linux a few months ago. I really wish the committee that wrote the EFI spec has included some kind of file system driver loading shim dealie; that would make life easier. Home: - Work on pocket-size S&W:WB Done. - Read about vim views-session
