Slept pretty well. Leftover Easter ham with my eggs this morning.
Goals:
Work:
- Set up grub jobs on mizzen and zol
Done.
- Set up network bridges on mizzen and zol
No, tomorrow.
- Set up job to check mdadm status (and other statuses?)
Unnecessary. With mail to root going to an appropriate place, we should get alerted. (`/etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf` specifies MAILADDR for alerts as root by default, so `/etc/aliases` makes the right thing happen.) `man mdadm.conf` says:
MAILADDR
The mailaddr line gives an E-mail address that alerts should be sent
to when mdadm is running in --monitor mode (and was given the --scan
option). There should only be one MAILADDR line and it should have
only one address.
And indeed:
# ps aux | grep mdadm
root 3027 0.0 0.0 13108 756 ? Ss Mar27 0:00 /sbin/mdadm --monitor --pid-file /run/mdadm/monitor.pid --daemonise --scan --syslog
- Verify *nix boxes have root mail aliased to alert mailbox.
Done.
- Move dhcp server to different box after hours.
Done.
Home:
- Eat pizza
- Watch Netflix
