Beverly Hills, MI
Slept fairly well. Weather is slightly warmer.
Goals for today:
Work:
- Buy Hazel Park backup server (I forgot yesterday!)
Ordered. Should arrive in three business days.
- Finish setup of OpenBSD server diffie
Updated to stable.
- Define specs for upgraded app and db servers, email to vendor
Drafted but not sent.
- Review the goals I didn't finish this week
Nope.
I forgot I had to help moving Mary's cubicle, which took the better part of the morning.
Home:
- Remember to wish Renny a happy birthday
Done. I emailed him, but I should probably give him a quick call tonight too.
- Install second SSD; rearrange filesystem
Nope.
Questions:
- Why do my fans fire up to +1600 RPM after resume from sleep, apparently ignoring /etc/fancontrol?
`sudo systemctl restart fancontrol` quiets them to <1300 RPM, but systemd shouldn't need to be told.
See `man systemd-sleep.conf` and `man systemd-sleep` and especially `man systemd-sleep`.
