herbstluftwm

herbstluftwm is a tiling window manager.

# apt-get install herbstluftwm

See herbstluftwm-tutorial(7) and herbstluftwm(1) and herbstclient(1).

Do:

$ mkdir -p ~/.config/herbstluftwm
$ cp /etc/xdg/herbstluftwm/autostart ~/.config/herbstluftwm/

Edit ~/.config/herbstluftwm/autostart to configure it, like:

hc keybind $Mod-Return spawn x-terminal-emulator
hc keybind $Mod-p spawn dmenu_run
