There are about ten federal holidays (i.e., about two work weeks). I want to take three weeks of vacation and leave a week of potential sick days. So, that's six weeks off per year, or seven if I want to take off two weeks around Christmas and New Years. 1920 / (52 - 6) = 41.74 hours per week. 1920 / (52 - 7) = 42.67 hours per week. But, in the past year, only 90% of hours have been billable. So, if we guess that real hours to work in a year is 1920 + 192 = 2112.... 2112 / (52 - 7) = 46.93 hours per week. Oof, 9.4 hours per day is rougher. Dropping down to six weeks of vacation only brings the daily average down to 9.2 hours (45.91 hours per week). But, whatever. Let's shoot for 42 billable hours per week. # Home * [ ] August 28 06:00 PM dinner with Yvonne, Kate, Rob, kids at Orchard Cafe * [ ] build Pi-hole for home network * [ ] exercise for ten minutes * [ ] car oil change * [ ] schedule dentist appointment * [ ] schedule optometrist appointment Songs of the day: * Bang a Gong (Get It On), T.Rex * About a Girl, Nirvana Wow, the Aspark Owl is a cool-looking EV supercar. https://www.topspeed.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-aspark-owl/ https://www.honest-broker.com/p/the-blue-collar-jobs-of-philip-glass > I had gone to install a dishwasher in a loft in SoHo. While working, I suddenly heard a noise and looked up to find Robert Hughes, the art critic of Time magazine, staring at me in disbelief. "But you’re Philip Glass! What are you doing here?" It was obvious that I was installing his dishwasher and I told him I would soon be finished. "But you are an artist," he protested. I explained that I was an artist but that I was sometimes a plumber as well and that he should go away and let me finish.
