Woke briefly around five.

Dreamt about hanging out or working with David Lynch at some kind of light industrial facility/hanger/warehouse.
There was a problem with a super crane, and Lynch was excited to climb up it.

Cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers early in the morning, then partly cloudy in the late morning and afternoon.
Highs in the lower 80s.
Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Moved too slowly in the morning to have time for a walk.

Twenty-minute walk after I dropped off the router.
Hot and sunny.
Pale half moon in the blue sky.
Saw a robin, a blue jay, a little white butterfly, and a smallish milk-chocolate brown butterfly (or moth?) with some orange fringe and a white spot on the underside of its wing.
Cicadas singing.

Listened to some R.E.M.

I called back to let them know I won't need an appointment until after the pandemic.

Trump appears to be an extreme narcissist with no compunction about doing things to benefit himself regardless of how many other people get hurt.
Why, then, has he never used military action for political purposes?
Does he fear the military wouldn't follow his orders, or is there a more interesting human reason?
Or does foreign military action simply run contrary to his isolationism?
