Shit. Lost a huge diary entry for today. `/var` filled up on the vps, and I guess the file didn't survive.

In mysql, I did `PURGE BINARY LOGS TO 'mysql-bin.000021';`, then edited `/etc/my.cnf` to reduce the chances of this happening again:

	expire_logs_days = 3
	max_binlog_size = 102400

Strangely, we can set the maximum number of days worth of logs to keep, and the maximum size of each log (max_binlog_size), but these two things together don't guarantee a maximum grand total.

So, reconstructed as best I recall...

Slept from just before eleven until just before seven. Woke briefly around five, but quickly fell back to sleep.

Work:
- Fixed a logrotate permissions issue with the Asterisk logs on gab
- logrotate's `-d` flag is actually helpful
- Scott took the afternoon off

Home:
- Renewed by AAA membership
- Confirmed that Karina, Scott, Ed, and Steve are coming for D&D on Sunday
- Grocery shopping, including snacks for Sunday
- Tidied up a few things around the house
- Did a considerable amount of work on the static website generator

Took an uneventful ten minute walk at lunch after I ate. It was hot today.

Breakfast: carrots, mixed greens, coffee with half-and-half
Lunch: Thai curry noodles
Dinner: coffee cake
