Mon Oct 5 07:54:53 EDT 2015 Went to bed before eleven, slept very well, and woke up around seven. I'm in a pretty good mood today. Change of showers before noon, with a high of seventy. D&D went fine yesterday. Stefan Poag was a no-show, but no big deal. I went in to the session feeling a little under-prepared, but it went fine. Players spent a lot of time exploring town and taking care of business, and only a small amount of time in the dungeon. Karina and Eric had to take off a little early, but overall a satisfying session. Magdalena was out with her mother, so we missed seeing her. She's done a beautiful job on their front garden though --- still verdant, with lots of flowers in bloom. Goals: I'm considering doing the wifi at Tyner's house, and the physical security survey of Central today, but I may put it off. We'll see. Work: - Review invoices Done. - Call Mrs. Tyner about wifi appointment Spoke with her briefly. I'll call her tomorrow to schedule a time. - Review tickets, particularly old tickets on hold Done. - Order IT laptops Done. - Force close old PO's Done. Saw a couple of the little white butterflies and at least half a dozen blue jays on my walk. A lot of the flowers are gone, but some gardens are bursting with flowers; there must be varieties of flowers that bloom in the autumn, and only a few people choose to plant them. Yes, perennials like mums, sedum, and asters, and annuals like violas and petunias. Home: - Write a session report for the blog - Remember to commit 5e campaign repo Done. - Shopping. Meijer or Target. Remember coffee and deodorant! - Read some Gilgamesh Done. - Check out https://github.com/guillaumechereau/goxel (a voxel editor) Chess characters: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chess_symbols_in_Unicode % python -c "print u'\u2654'" Or just use the letters (KQRBN(P)) One more minor thing went wrong with my car after work. A second window will not roll up. This may be the thing to push me over the edge. Need to sleep on it, but I may be buying a new car this weekend. Shaved my beard this evening. Not sure if it was a good idea, but I'm not immediately regretful.
