Thu Sep 8 06:41:12 EDT 2016 Went to bed before eleven. Woke a little after five for no particular reason, and didn't fall back to sleep. Eighty-four and humid. Rain likely at some point. May have dinner at dad's tonight. Yvonne will call later to let me know. Goals: Work: - Review invoices Done. - Replace drive in fergus Done. Damn the torpedoes! I hot swapped the drive. All went well. - Continue testing, packet capture of Yealink "network unavailable" issue Done. I finally FINALLY captured the event this morning. Analyzing the pcap.... Unfortunately, this seems to be happening (invisibly to us) in the phone rather than on the network. Saw a crow flying on my drive in. Twenty minute walk. Rain clouds loom, but no rain yet. Not as hot and humid as the last couple of days. Heard crickets and cicadas. Smell of damp cut grass. Saw a little white butterfly, and four Canada geese flying. The banquet hall west of the office is having a big event; the overflow guests were parked all over the utility station property. Home: - Reply to Danielle's email Done. - Call Yvonne about dinner Done. We're going to do Saturday instead, which works better for me anyhow. She'll call to let me know what time on Saturday. - Work on static site generator Done. - Review https://www.vi-improved.org/recommendations/ Done. Not too much to the article, though I agree with the premise that plugins are more trouble than they're worth. Status line example: set statusline=%F%m%r%h%w[%L][%{&ff}]%y[%p%%][%04l,%04v] " | | | | | | | | | | | " | | | | | | | | | | +-- current column " | | | | | | | | | +-- current line " | | | | | | | | +-- current % into file " | | | | | | | +-- current syntax " | | | | | | +-- current fileformat " | | | | | +-- number of lines " | | | | +-- preview flag in square brackets " | | | +-- help flag in square brackets " | | +-- readonly flag in square brackets " | +-- rodified flag in square brackets " +-- full path to file in the buffer My current statusline is the default, but I also have 'ruler' set. Without 'ruler' it's just the full path to the file. Maybe: set statusline=%m\ \%F\ %r%y%=col\ %v\ line\ %l\/%L\ %p%% I guess that doesn't too much for me beyond what 'set ruler' gives. Took a fifteen minute walk after work. Saw a little white butterfly. Tidied up a little, but I'll have more work to do if we end up getting together on Sunday for D&D. I wish Karina would RSVP. May go to bed early. Breakfast: mixed greens, carrots, coffee with half-and-half, cinnamon rolls Lunch: mixed nuts Dinner: Rueben and fries
