Thu Mar 31 09:15:10 EDT 2016 Slept from ten-ish to seven. Woke up briefly around five. Rainy. High of sixty-four. Goals: Work: - Cameras for CL Done. Thought more about document-oriented databases. Simple examples of data that's better stored in a document-oriented database than a relational database are difficult to find. Here's one, maybe: purchase orders, where the bulk of the data in a document is purchase detail line items that might be anything from any vendor. The data is structured, but it's not useful to have a po_item_types table (since the items are so disparate, and details like current price might vary even from a single vendor over time). Twenty minute walk at lunch. Didn't get rained on much. Saw a turkey vulture and a pair of ducks. Home: - Static site generator Yeah, actually started working on it a bit. Sigh. New debit card has still not arrived. Inconvenient. Huh. I've been having to tolerate an unclosable shopping cart sidebar on the right of all Amazon pages when logged into my account. I assumed that I'd been involuntarily opted into a shitty A/B test. I was so tired of it that I went to remove the element with AdBlock Plus "open blockable item", and the sidebar vanished. Huh. Interesting. Harvard color library: https://www.fastcodesign.com/3058058/the-harvard-vault-that-protects-the-worlds-rarest-colors
