Thought I was going to be late this morning, but got to work on time. Feeling pretty energetic. Might be a good day. Also, pi day. Goals: Work: - Work on Docker notes, and actually play with Docker Not much. - Work on some Ruby stuff Done. Added some notes. For practice, I reimplemented my pingwan Perl script in Ruby. Not a bad experience. - Finish chroot notes No. - Order more security recorders Done. Fifteen minute walk at lunch. Bought a latte at Starbucks. Home: - Draw something No. - Read - Start Ruby version of static website generator No. - Grocery (rbg alcohol, fbr pwdr, lzgs, etc.) Done. Presidential campaign idea: - What about income inequality? What about free trade? Income inequality is a serious problem that will not be solved without major changes. Free trade has contributed to income inequality, but tariffs are not the solution. I propose a variable federal sales tax. Goods manufactured by companies that employ ninety percent or more of their workforce overseas will be taxed at the highest rate --- at least 100%. Goods manufactured by companies that employ ninety percent or more of their workforce within the United States will be taxed at the lowest rate. 100% of the tax revenue from this policy will be given back to unemployed and low-income Americans.
